What is FreshPass®?

FreshPass® is a paid subscription program that offers savings on grocery delivery and many exclusive perks. Subscribers enjoy the following:

How does free delivery work?

Sign up for one of our FreshPass monthly or annual subscription plans, and we’ll waive the delivery fee on orders of $30 or more for the selected duration. If Flash delivery is available, you will be charged a discounted delivery fee, plus a minimum order fee on orders under $30. When you shop online, just choose delivery and you’ll see the discounted delivery fee at checkout. This discount does not apply to orders placed through third party platforms.

To check if delivery is offered in your area, use the store locator to find a store near you. If delivery is not offered in your area, you can still sign up and enjoy other FreshPass perks.

How does the $5 monthly credit for annual subscribers work?

Annual active paid FreshPass subscribers will receive a monthly credit valued at $5 every month. For Annual paid FreshPass subscribers before 9/16/24, the credit can be applied to in-store or online purchases of qualifying products. For Annual paid FreshPass subscribers on and after 9/16/24, the credit can be applied to in-store or DriveUp & GoTM (excludes delivery) purchases of qualifying products. If an existing subscriber as of 9/16/24 cancels membership and then re-instates, that subscriber will receive the new $5 off credit that is only available for in-store or DriveUp & Go purchases. Be sure to spend at least $5 to enjoy this benefit! Each month you’ll see your credit in your FreshPass gallery where you can clip it for your next purchase. ​

When will my Points expire?

As long as you are an active annual or monthly FreshPass subscriber you can keep your Points! That’s right, they will not expire as long as you stay subscribed.

How do I claim my monthly Starbucks® Perk?

Be sure to check your FreshPass gallery and clip the coupon, and redeem at your favorite in-store Starbucks Café before the expiry. 

How do I change my subscription plan?

You can change your subscription plan any time by signing in to your account and selecting “FreshPass” in account settings, then select “Change Plan” and follow the instructions. Changes will go into effect at the start of the next plan period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by signing in to your account and selecting “FreshPass” in account settings, then select “Cancel FreshPass” and follow the instructions. If you cancel your subscription within the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period and you have not placed any orders during that period, your subscription will terminate immediately. If you cancel your subscription period after the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period or you placed an order during the first 15 calendar days of your then active subscription period, your subscription will terminate at the end of the then active subscription period and it will not renew unless you send us instructions to renew. If you have signed up for a Free Trial and you cancel your subscription prior to the expiration of the Free Trial period, you may continue to use the FreshPass subscription and services for the full length of the trial. If you exercise your right to delete personal information privacy option, as further described in our privacy policy, anytime during the subscription period, your subscription will be immediately cancelled. 

If I cancel my subscription, will I get a refund?

If you cancel your paid subscription before the first 15 calendar days of the paid subscription period have passed and you have not placed an order through the service during the first 15 calendar day period, your monthly or annual subscription fee will be fully refunded.

If you cancel your paid subscription after the first 15 calendar days have passed or if you use the subscription during those first 15 calendar days, your monthly or annual subscription fee will not be refunded. However, you still may continue to use the FreshPass subscription and service through the end of either your monthly or annual subscription plan end date.

No refunds will be provided if you submit your request for personal information deletion after the first 15 days of the subscription period or if you have placed a delivery order, however your subscription will not continue and you may not place any additional orders via your subscription.

If I don’t use the service, can I get my money back?    

If you don’t use the service and cancel within the first 15 calendar days of your subscription plan, your subscription fee will be refunded. If you cancel after the first 15 calendar days, your subscription fee will not be refunded.

How do I change my delivery address?

Sign into your FreshPass account and select Account Settings. Under the Account Settings, you’ll see a section titled “Address Preferences.” Click on the “Update”  button and follow the instructions.

How do I change the credit card associated with my subscription?

You can change your credit card by signing in to your account and selecting “FreshPass” in account settings, then select “Payment Method” and follow the instructions.

Does the FreshPass subscription apply to third party platforms (such as DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, Shipt)?

No, our FreshPass subscription does not apply to orders placed through third party platforms.

Does the FreshPass unlimited delivery benefit extend to Vine & Cellar and Marketplace orders?

No. Vine & Cellar and Marketplace orders are excluded from FreshPass members’ unlimited delivery benefits at this time.

Does the FreshPass unlimited delivery benefit extend to Rx pharmacy?

No. Rx pharmacy orders are excluded from FreshPass members’ unlimited delivery benefits.

FreshPass® TERMS & CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

FreshPass® is a subscription program, available as a monthly or annual plan, providing exclusive benefits in exchange for a subscription fee (as described in more detail below). In order to receive the benefits of the FreshPass subscription program, you must be a current paid subscriber and purchase your groceries through an Albertsons Companies banner via a company-owned channel (e.g., website, mobile app, or in-store). Grocery purchases at Albertsons Companies banners made through a third-party service, such as Instacart, DoorDash, UberEats, etc. are not eligible to receive FreshPass benefits. Vine & Cellar, Marketplace, and Rx pharmacy purchases are also not eligible to receive FreshPass benefits. Service fees, special handling fees, and/or taxes may still apply and may not be covered by a FreshPass subscription. These terms apply in addition to our Terms of Use.

One FreshPass subscription is allowed per account. [Note: If multiple registered customers use a single address, a single FreshPass subscription cannot be used by multiple accounts]. FreshPass subscriptions cannot be transferred or assigned.

PAYMENT POLICY

YOUR FRESHPASS SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE EXPIRATION OF YOUR CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD, AND THE THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION FEE (PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES) WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED WITH AN ACTIVE CARD ON FILE IN YOUR ACCOUNT, UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE END OF THE THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD [AS DESCRIBED BELOW]. IF YOU SUBSCRIBED AT A DISCOUNTED FEE FOR A DELIMITED TIME, THE THEN-CURRENT FULL SUBSCRIPTION FEE (PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES) WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED AT THE TIME OF RENEWAL. You authorize us to automatically charge your default payment card the then-current price for your renewed subscription plan. We will continue renewing your subscription plan and charging your payment card until you cancel your subscription. If you would like to change your payment method you are responsible for updating your billing information in Your Account Settings Click on the “FreshPass” section and select Change Payment Card. You represent and warrant that all billing information you provide to us is truthful and accurate and you are authorized to use the payment method in the manner contemplated here. If the payment method you provided to us is declined or if a payment was not successfully made by you, your access to FreshPass subscription benefits will be suspended until we have successfully charged a valid payment method. If your subscription benefits are suspended due to payment failure, you will have 30 days from the date of payment failure to update your billing information in order to keep your existing FreshPass subscription plan. If you do not update your payment method within 30 days, your FreshPass subscription will be automatically cancelled. If your account is cancelled because it was suspended for 30 days, you may re-enroll in FreshPass at any time with a valid payment method.

“AlbertsonsCo FreshPass” will appear as the merchant on your bank or credit card statement representing the fee charged for your FreshPass subscription.

For Monthly Subscriptions: We will send you a reminder email at least 3 days before payment is due to the email address listed in your account.

For Annual Subscriptions: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of your annual subscription renewal date by email to the email address listed in your account

COMMUNICATION POLICY

As a paid monthly or annual FreshPass subscriber, you agree to receive ongoing account summary information in the form of a monthly transactional email sent to the email address on file for your account. These emails provide you with a snapshot of your usage of the program benefits as well as notifications relating to the availability of ongoing or new subscriber-only benefits that are a part of your paid subscription plan.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel your subscription at any time in Your Account Settings Click on the “FreshPass” section and select Cancel. You can also cancel by emailing us at deliverysupport@AlbertsonsCompanies.com or by calling us toll-free at 1-855-767-2545. Refunds of eligible paid subscription fees will be made as described below.

PRIVACY POLICY

Fresh Pass subscription requires certain personal information. See our Privacy Policy. If subscriber submits a personal information deletion request, Fresh Pass subscription is automatically cancelled.

If you exercise your right to delete personal information privacy option, as further described in our Privacy Policy, anytime during the subscription period, your subscription will be immediately cancelled. If your request for personal information deletion was successfully submitted within the first 15 calendar days of the subscription period and you have not placed any orders using your subscription, you will receive a refund. No refunds will be provided if you submit your request for personal information deletion after the first 15 days of the subscription period or if you have placed a delivery order, however your subscription will not continue and you may not place any additional orders via your subscription. If you have placed a delivery order prior to the request for personal information deletion, we may retain certain details of your information in order to fulfil your order or communicate regarding your subscription status. Additional information regarding your deletion request may be communicated to you at the time of the request.

REFUND POLICY

If you decide you wish to cancel your FreshPass subscription plan, you:

  • ARE eligible to receive a full refund of the subscription fee paid if:
    • You have not placed any delivery orders using your FreshPass subscription AND you complete your cancellation request within the first 15 calendar days of your paid subscription plan.
  • ARE NOT eligible to receive a refund of the subscription fee paid if EITHER of the below statements is true:
    • You have placed any delivery orders using your FreshPass subscription within the first 15 calendar days of your paid subscription plan, OR
    • You have requested to cancel your paid subscription after the first 15 calendar days of your paid subscription plan have passed.

If you are not eligible to receive a refund of the subscription fee paid, you may still cancel your subscription plan. You can then continue to enjoy all the benefits of your FreshPass subscription through the end of the period for which you have already been charged and your subscription will not be renewed when your subscription period ends.

FREE TRIAL

You may be given the opportunity to try out the benefits of the FreshPass subscription program with a Free Trial. You must provide a valid card when you register for the Free Trial. Unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the Free Trial period, your trial will be automatically converted into a paid subscription and your card will be charged the then-current applicable Subscription Fee for the plan duration chosen byyou. Your FreshPass subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period and your card will be charged automatically until you cancel. If you cancel before the end of the Free Trial, you can continue to enjoy all the trial benefits of the FreshPass subscription through the end of the trial period. Only one Free Trial is available per account holder.

TO AVOID BEING CHARGED you must cancel your FreshPass subscription before the end of the Free Trial period. If you want to cancel your FreshPass Free Trial, you can make the change in Your Account Settings Click on the “FreshPass” section and select Cancel. You can also cancel by emailing us at deliverysupport@AlbertsonsCompanies.com or by calling us toll-free at 1-855-767-2545. You may only use this Free Trial Offer once. Albertsons reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to withdraw or to modify this Free Trial Offer and/or the Free Trial Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice and with no liability.

CHANGES TO SUBSCRIPTION FEES

Albertsons may change the monthly or annual fee for FreshPass at any time, but we will send you an email notifying you of the change and the new subscription fee at least 30 days before the new Subscription Fee goes into effect. You should check your junk folder to make sure you are receiving email communications from us. Any such fee change will be charged to your card on the subscription billing cycle that starts 30 days after we give you notice of the change. You can cancel at any time before the new Subscription Fee goes into effect to avoid any increased Subscription Fee. If you fail to cancel your subscription prior to the subscription renewal date you will have agreed to pay the revised subscription fee.

CHANGES TO FreshPass® TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time in Albertsons sole discretion. We will notify you of any changes to these terms and conditions to the email account on file for your FreshPass subscription account. Your continued use of the FreshPass subscription benefits after such changes go into effect will be deemed your acceptance of revised terms, which will apply to your subscription. Albertsons reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel your FreshPass subscription at any time in its sole discretion.

FreshPass® SUBSCRIPTION PROGRAM BENEFITS TERMS

Unlimited Free Delivery

MINIMUM PURCHASE IS REQUIRED. FreshPass annual and monthly subscribers receive free delivery on online orders of $30 or more (calculated based on pre-tax subtotal of all qualifying items in cart at checkout, excluding alcoholic beverages, tobacco and fluid dairy products). If Flash delivery is available, FreshPass subscribers receive a discounted Flash delivery fee. FreshPass subscribers must pay a minimum order fee on any online orders under $30. Delivery services available in select areas. In some areas, delivery service may be provided by another Albertsons Companies store (that stores’ product availability, pricing and promotions will apply) or by a third-party service provider. $5 Monthly Credit

*Only annual paid FreshPass® subscribers receive one credit valued at $5 every month from the start of their FreshPass paid subscription. The $5 credit expires at the end of each month in which the credit is issued and cannot be carried over to the next month. For Annual paid FreshPass subscribers before 9/16/24, the credit can be applied to in-store or online purchases of qualifying products. For Annual paid FreshPass subscribers on or after 9/16/24, the credit can be applied to in-store or DriveUp & GoTM (excludes delivery) purchases of qualifying products. If an existing subscriber as of 9/16/24 cancels membership and then re-instates, that subscriber will receive the new $5 off credit that is only available for in-store or DriveUp & Go purchases. The $5 credit is not available during the trial period. Subscribers receive the credit every month in the form of a $5 coupon available in their FreshPass offer gallery. The $5 coupon must be clipped to activate the credit for use on a subsequent purchase. Minimum $5 purchase of qualifying products required to use the credit, excluding taxes and fees. Credit cannot be exchanged for cash or gift card and may not be reissued or prorated for refund. Credit cannot be used toward alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, fuel, lottery, money orders, prescriptions and copays, postage stamps, prepaid cards, gift cards, newspapers and magazines, fluid dairy (where required by law or regulation), bottle deposits, bus passes, hunting and fishing licenses, any imposed governmental fees and items reimbursed by a government health plan, all the preceding of which are excluded from qualifying products. 

2X Points on Our Exclusive Brands Products 

Both annual and monthly FreshPass subscribers receive 2X (double) Points on our Exclusive Brands products, applied to Points earned on qualified purchases. Every 100 Points can be used for gas or grocery discounts as defined in the Albertsons for U Terms and Conditions Our Exclusive Brands include: O Organics®, Open Nature®,Signature Family of Brands, Lucerne®, waterfrontBISTRO®, Primo Taglio®, debi lilly designand Soleil.

5% Off O Organics® & Open Nature® Products

This offer is available to both annual and monthly FreshPass subscribers. 5% discount on O Organics® and Open Nature® items apply to qualified purchases in a single transaction. Percentage discount calculated after deduction of promotional and loyalty member savings, coupons and all other discounts, offers and savings. Qualifying purchases exclude: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and fluid dairy. 5% Discount on O Organics® and Open Nature® items does not include bulk/random weight products.

5% Off Signature Pet Care™ Products

This offer is available to both annual and monthly FreshPass® subscribers. Subscribers receive the discount every month in the form of a coupon available in their FreshPass offer gallery. The coupon must be clipped to activate the discount for use on a subsequent purchase. 5% Discount on Signature Pet Care™ items apply to qualified purchases in a single transaction. Percentage discount calculated after deduction of promotional and loyalty member savings, coupons and all other discounts, offers and savings. 5% Discount on Signature Pet Care™ items does not include bulk/random weight products.

Points Don’t Expire

As long as you maintain your paid monthly or annual FreshPass® subscription, your earned Points, as defined in the Albertsons for U Terms and Conditions, will not expire. This means that your Points balance will continue to accrue (unless applicable law otherwise requires) as long as you are a paid monthly or annual FreshPass subscriber or until your FreshPass subscription ends or the FreshPass program is terminated by Albertsons Companies. Your Points balance will only diminish when you select to use your Points for fuel, grocery or other applicable experiences or discounts. If your FreshPass subscription is suspended, cancelled or expires for any reason, any previously earned Points will expire 1 month after the calendar month in which your FreshPass subscription is suspended, cancelled or expired.

Starbucks® Monthly Perk

Both annual and monthly FreshPass® subscribers will be issued a monthly Starbucks® perk in the form of a coupon available in their FreshPass offer gallery. The coupon must be clipped to activate the perk for use on a subsequent purchase at our participating in-store Starbucks Cafés only. The Starbucks® perk will be determined by Albertsons in its sole discretion, subject to availability and subject to change. Offers are personalized to the FreshPass® subscriber and store associated with the subscriber's loyalty account. Offers will expire at the end of each month in which the offer is issued and cannot be carried over to the next month. These offers have no cash value and can only be used at our participating in-store Starbucks Cafés.

FreshPass® SUBSCRIPTION PROGRAM BENEFITS TERMS CHANGES

The FreshPass® subscription program benefits outlined here are subject to change at any time in Albertsons sole discretion. Your continued use of FreshPass after such changes will be deemed your acceptance of revised terms, which will apply to your subscription. Albertsons reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel your FreshPass subscription at any time in its sole discretion.

FreshPass® SUBSCRIPTION SAVINGS CLAIMS

FreshPass® subscriber personalized savings. Individual FreshPass subscriber savings are based on discounts to grocery delivery fees and redemption of benefits listed on the FreshPass subscription page. Savings are calculated from 6/22/2022. If you joined FreshPass® after this date, your savings are calculated from the date you joined.

FreshPass® subscriber hours saved Estimated time saved on a typical FreshPass order is the sum of the average in-store customer shopping time on a basket of 15 or more items (based on a 2017 Albertsons Companies survey of 525 shoppers on "Time Spent Shopping"), and the average customer drive-time to and from Albertsons banners locations (based on a 2022 report which mapped the distance between customer addresses on file and the nearest ACI banner stores where delivery service is available). For DriveUp & Go pickup orders, the typical FreshPass order time savings would be reduced by approximately 25% by eliminating average customer drive-time.

FreshPass® $60 total savings with $5 monthly credits. Only available for annual FreshPass subscribers. To get $60 in total savings, annual subscribers must clip all twelve of their $5 monthly credit coupons to activate the credits and use them in subsequent qualifying purchases.
