Milk: a classic fridge staple to enjoy anytime
Three cheers for milk! Like butter and eggs, it feels like there’s always some recipe that calls for using milk. Whether you’re looking for a pint of milk to fill in a cake, or a gallon of milk to accompany the cereal, you can find the right size at your local Albertsons.
So, what can you do with milk? Add a little bit of milk, sugar and cinnamon to a couple of beaten eggs and then dip in un toasted bread. Lay the dipped bread in a shallow skillet and fry until crispy and the eggs aren’t runny. It’s a quick French toast that can be a real breakfast crowd-pleaser!
Of course, milk isn’t just for breakfast or creating the perfect dessert. Milk helps build pan sauces, add smoothness to coffee, tenderize meat and even help out with fried chicken.
Cooking and baking with milk provides for a creamier, richer end product compared to just using water. If you’re looking to build a soup that’s ready to please the entire table, let milk help you out. You can use milk to add richness to virtually any soup; just add milk closer to the end of the cooking process.
Can’t go without milk in your coffee or tea? You’re not alone: many people find that milk can cut the bitterness in coffee or tea easily.
So go ahead and shop online in the app for milk or head down to your local Albertsons. Whether you need a pint, a gallon, or something in between, we have you covered.
